Shelter in the Redwoods, Arcata, CA —"Nathan, 21, has been living on his own for five years. At age 17 he joined the U.S. Army and was deployed to Afganistan. His left leg was wounded by shrapnel. Nathan now frequents the Arcata area, where he sleeps in his tent inside the hollow trunk of a redwood tree.
